At least three people have been confirmed dead while eight others sustained various degrees of injuries in Jebbu Miango of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State in an attack carried out on Thursday night by suspected herdsmen.
The Police Public Relation Officer in the state, Matthias Tyopev, confirmed to Channels Television that about 20 houses were razed by the attackers.
Those injured from the attack were rushed to a hospital in Bassa for treatment.
This attack has brought increased the death toll to six, the number, of people killed in the last two days as three people were earlier killed by suspected herdsmen in Josho of Daffo district of Bokkos local government.
The police spokesperson said one person has been arrested in the Bokkos attack and that investigation continues. He, however, appealed for calm.
