Alex Ekwueme: Ohanaeze Youths Ask Buhari to Name Abuja Stadium after Him

Ohanaeze Ndi Igbo Youths,the Social Political Umbrella of Youths in The South East Region has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to rename the National Stadium Abuja after Late Former Vice President Alex Ekwueme.

The leadership of ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide led by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, held a church Service today Saturday 27th January 2018 in honour of  The former Vice President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Alex Ekwueme at Seventh Day Adventist Church Umuahia Township, Abia,as the beginning of events line up to mourn the icon of democracy and great Igbo leader.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide in a Statement made available to PUO REPORTS  called on Ndigbo to mourn Dr Alex Ekwueme for six days,and urge Ndigbo to wear black bangles as a way to show respect and mourn our Igbo hero.
“President Buhari should name Abuja National stadium after him as a way to appreciate his immeasurable contributions to return democracy to Nigeria in 1999 from Military dictatorship”.
THe Statement signed by Engr Obinna Adibe said There will be a novelty Football match between Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide and Biafra agitators at Oko Anambra state on Tuesday 30th January 2018 in honour of Dr Alex Ekwueme.
‘We thank all the South East Governors for finding it worthy to organise a befitting burial for Dr Alex Ekwueme,and Urge Federal government to give him a State Burial.
