The deputy National chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance, Engr. Uchenna okogbuo on Friday said he was never arrested nor detained by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, over financial misappropriation, accusing the suspended chairman of APGA in Abia state, Revered Augustine Ehiemere of embarking on a mission to pull him down.

Speaking to newsmen in Umuahia, Engr. Okogbuo explained that he was invited by the anti graft agency based on the petition written to EFCC by the suspended chairman, alleging emblezzement of party’s funds against him.

Okogbuo said that he never misappropriated any party’s funds between 2014 and 2015 when he was presiding the affairs of APGA in Abia state, saying that the allegation by Ehiemere and his sponsors was calculated to malign him and the national leadership of APGA.

He said that under his watch APGA made tremendous progress in 2015 election and wondered how Ehiemere who was indicted by Ahamdi Nweke-led displinary committee would embark on a mission to incite EFCC against him with baseless and unfounded allegations.

Okogbuo maintained Revered Augustine Ehiemere remained suspended in the party, saying that no amount of propaganda would deter him and members of the APGA national working committee from reposition the party in the state.
