The Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, on Thursday sacked the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Nicholas Azinge, and his Culture and Tourism counterpart, Chief Dan Okenyi, in a cabinet reshuffle.

Four other commissioners affected by the development were however reassigned to different ministries.

The governor in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Ovie Agas, said the sacking of the commissioners was with immediate effect.

The four commissioners who were reassigned by the governor are Mr. Asupa Forteta, formerly of Youths Development, but now in the Urban Renewal Directorate; Chief Karo Ilolo, formerly in the Directorate of Urban Renewal Directorate but now in charge of the Youths Development Directorate.

Others are Chief Bright Edejewhro, moved from the Local Government Affairs Directorate to the Ministry of Science and Technology; and Mrs. Joyce Overah, moved from the Ministry of Science and Technology to the Ministry of Local Government Affairs.
