Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has stated clearly that he will appoint 15 commissioners in his cabinet.

He said on Tuesday 9th July 2019 at the New Banquet Hall of Government House Makurdi during the PDP caucus meeting with stakeholders.

“All Local Government Areas in Benue State shall have one Special Adviser each so that the whole local government will be well represented”, he added

“No godfatherism again, so allow me to appoint my cabinet members, but even if you are appointed based on recommendation, if you don’t perform well, I will remove you”.

“Any of my appointees who is not doing well, castigate him in my presence publicly let us talk to him in public to change for good and if such person does not change, he/she will be removed, even me if I am not doing well, tell me, but you cannot remove me anyway”.

“I am a leader, this is time for action and not time to talk too much, we shall work massively for everyone to see”.

“Anyone who wants to talk about 2023, should stay back, don’t come into my cabinet and start campaigning for 2023 for yourself, you are coming to work and not to campaign”.

“Everybody must not be appointed or benefit at thesame time, if you don’t benefit today, you will benefit tomorrow, SUBEB contract is just 300 but over 1000 applied for the job and you must be aware that not everyone will get it”.

“Out of the four SSA and SA in each local government, one must be a youth and one must be a woman”.
