The Crises rocking the Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress(APC) is degenerating into a deeper confusion as both the Leader of the Party and Former Governor of the State Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi and the Senator Representing Rivers South Senatorial District will today 10th February 2018 hold Pararell Party Rallies in the State.
It will be recalled that the tussle of who becomes the flagbearer of the APC in the 2019 Governorship election in the State has destroyed the Political Friendship of Senator Magnus Abe and Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi.
While Amaechi enjoys the follower-ship of Political appointees from Rivers State,Senator Magnus Abe on his part enjoys the followership of Elected Lawmakers of the APC from Rivers State.
Abe and his Loyalists had fixed a thanksgiving Service for Today 10th February 2018 at the Portharcourt Polo Club Field since January 2018,Amaechi who did not attend the APC Rally held in Tai fixed an emergency Rally in Khana Local Government Area of the State.
The Majority of the Party Leaders are of the opinion that the party should present a saleable Governorship candidate different from Mr Dakuku Peterside in 2019,but those with the opinions were sacked as Party Leaders by Amaechi who seems to be presenting Dakuku again for 2019.
