Chief Bobby Ukadike, former President, Niger Delta Security Council, has endorsed Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, for a second term. Ukadike’s endorsement was conveyed in a statement on Wednesday in Abuja. Chief Ukadike and Nyesom Wike Ukadike, who was also the former President, Supreme Igbo Council, expressed satisfaction over Wike’s achievements in less than three years in office. Ukadike said that the Rivers state governor had within a short time, in office restored peace to the state.

“Having successfully brought the scary problems of militancy and youth unrest under control, Wike has taken tangible and meaningful infrastructural development to all parts of Rivers state.

“The areas hitherto neglected and abandoned by past administrations since the creation of the state in 1967 have witnessed development.’’ According to him, the Rivers State capital, has under the Wike’s administration regained its lost glory as the beautiful garden city of Nigeria having undergone all- round physical and environmental transformation.

The 2019 presidential aspirant also noted that Wike’s style of governance had given rise to unprecedented cordial relationship between the state government and civil/public servants in the state. Ukadike said that Wike had also promoted industrial harmony as well as best of friendly relationships amongst people of all ethnic nationalities resident in Rivers State.

“If you look at the pace of development already experienced by the state and the projects being rolled out in the state, you will agree with me that the future is indeed bright for every Rivers indigenes. “The realities are there to testify that Wike’s style of governance is devoid of fraudulent deception. Wike to the best of my knowledge does not play to the gallery.

“Democracy is truly in action in Rivers state unlike in a situation of the government of the people by one family and for the same family,” he said. He reiterated his position that Wike ranked as River State’s best governor since the creation of the state in 1967.

On his ambition to contest the 2019 presidential election, Ukadike said he was ready to serve Nigeria based on his high moral base. NAN
