Igbere Stakeholders Endorse Cosmos Ndukwe, Ikpeazu For Second Term



Rt. Hon. Cosmos Ndukwe PhD, member representing Bende North State Constituency and Deputy Speaker, Abia House of Assembly has assured Igbere people that his love for them is founded on sincerity and mostly his conviction that Igbere occupies a pride of place in the history of Bende people.

The Deputy Speaker made this remark at his Item country home when Traditional rulers, leaders of thought, the political class, women and indeed all shades of people in Igbere stormed his Akanu Item residence in what they styled unadulterated appreciation.

The Igbere group led by Elder Uwakwe Okoronkwo, President General Igbere Welfare Union also had in attendance
Hon. Mascot Imo Obike, Commissioner for Boundary and Conflict Resolution. Also in attendance was Barr. Eme ogbumba, Chairman Umunna Patriotic Forum while the royal fathers were represented by
HRH. Eze O N Chukwu. Chairman Ndi Eze Igbere and Eze Joseph U. Anyanta who led the Igbere Traditional Rulers. Ndi Ezeogo Igbere were led by Ezeogo Ukaoha Dibia. Councillors of Igbere B and C were led by Hon chucks Lekwa, Deputy leader of Bende Legislative Council while
Chief Dike C.Dike Chairman PDP Igbere ward B and Hon. Madubuike Peter Igwe stood in for other party leaders. The women were ably represented by Erinma Chibuzor.

The group thanked the State Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu PhD for his being the governor who has superintended over an Abia that has once again recognized Igbere in the scheme of things.

Earlier, the delegation had unanimously informed the Rt. Hon. Ndukwe that the feeling amongst every Igbere person is that he had opened a floodgate of renewed political recognition of Igbere after several years of being on the sideline. The group recollected that with several projects on different parts of Igbere that the Deputy Speaker has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the progress and development of Igbere.

The group reiterated that they will support the governor and the deputy Speaker’s reelection bid as they represent work and progress.
