The Bitiah Irruan community of Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State got an unexpected visitor on Friday as a chimpanzee followed a farmer home from the bush.
According to Facebook user, Osang Gabriel, the animal returned with the farmer to his house and it drew a lot of crowd who gathered to catch a glimpse.
Osang, however, confused a chimpanzee with a gorilla, as he frequently called the animal a gorilla rather than a chimpanzee that it is.
The animal seemed to have an instant connection to the farmer, who wasn’t identified.
