Anti-cultism: Group visits community secondary school, Akenfa-Epie

The Patriotism Advancement and Community Orientation Network (PACON) continues with its campaign against cultism and drug abuse in Bayelsa state as it visits the community secondary school, Akenfa-Epie 27th April, 2018.

The group cautioned the students on the dangers of cultism and drug abuse as it donated items including a banner, copy of the Bayelsa state anti-cultism Law and other items.

Speaking through its co-convener, Debekeme Powedei, PACON maintains that the sensitization is necessary as recent activities withing the state indicates an upsurge in cult related activities and drug abuse.

“We are concerned about the rise in cult related activities and drug abuse in Bayelsa state. We hope to redeem some of these kids from the grip of cultism and drug abuse as well as let other know of its dangers

High point of the visit was the unveiling of the anti-cultism and drug abuse banner of the school.

The Principal of the school, Mr. Keku Okobakiye thanked the organization for the visit and described it as timely.
