Rev Kalu was Unanimously Re-elected by the Northern Rivers District Constituency at the 1st Tri-ennial Council Meeting of the District held at Assemblies Of Church Federal Housing Estate Woji Portharcourt Rivers State.
The Council Meeting which was Presided over by the General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor was assisted by Rev Michael Ogubola the Apapa District Superintendent/EC Member.
The General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor who spoke from the books of Psalm 1:1-3,Prov 1:10-12,Judges 9:2-4 on the Topic “Dismantling and Dealing with Ungodly Counsel and Influence “urged Christians not to be enticed by Sinners.
“Ungodly can be anywhere,but if you Love your Life,say No to ungodly Counsel”
“The power of Choice cannot be overemphasised ,you are what you have chosen and you are what you shall Choose”
He said Death came when man abandoned the ungodly Counsel of the God and yielded to the Counsel of the Devil.
“If you Go Faster than God,he will break your RIBS but when the Season of God Comes,it does not matter who does not like your face,when the Season of God Comes,it will happen like a Miracle” He Said.
The General Superintendent charged the Northern Rivers District Constituency to remain Godly and rebuke Sinners and their Ungoldy Counsel.
Before the Election Proper the Chairman announced that the current Assistant District Superintendent of and the Treasurer won’t be standing election in obedience to the Constitution and Bye laws of Assemblies Of God Nigeria due to age Constraints.
Rev Josef Kalu polled a Total number of 175 Votes from 217 Eligible Voters to be Returned as the Northern Rivers District Superintendent at the Nominative Ballot.
