The Registered Trustees of Assemblies Of God Nigeria has warned a Former General Superintendent Rev Paul Emeka to seize from using its Corporate identity for Political Gains.
The Church Reacting to a Purported move of Rev Paul Emeka to declare an Illegal Independence for some Dismissed Northern Pastor on the aegis of”Northern General Council” urged the Police and the Plateau State Government uphold the Law inline with the February 24th 2017 Judgement of the Supreme Court which settled the Leadership issue in Favour of the General Council led by Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor as General Superintendent.
Paul Emeka it was gathered, is planning to declare an illegal Independence for some Dismissed Pastors in the North.
Both Rev Paul Emeka and Rev Yakubu Pam Dismissed had been Dismissed by the General Council of Assemblies Of God Nigeria.
Reacting to the Development, the General Secretary of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Godwin Amaowoh who spoke on behalf of the Registered Trustees of Assemblies Of God Nigeria urged the Police in Plateau State to arrest anyone using the Corporate name of Assemblies Of God Nigeria to cause mayhem.
The Statement which was obtained from our Correspondent said the Plots by Rev Paul Emeka against the Church will continue to Fail.
“The attention of the registered trustees of the Assemblies of God Nigeria has been drawn to a divisive move of Rev Paul Emeka a dismissed General Superintendent of the church”
“Instead of Assessing the Generous Olive Branch window of the church he has filed several cases in court and failed.now he has told his followers in the north that he is coming to declare northern Assemblies of God Nigeria”
“This is intended to cause confusion and deceive the unsuspecting public”
“The world Assemblies of God fellowship,African Assemblies of God Alliance recognizes only one Assemblies of God Nigeria as registered by the cooperate affairs of Nigeria under the leadership of her elected General Superintendent Rev Dr. Chidi Okoroafor”
The Statement further asked everyone to ignore the Ungodly Move by the Rev Paul Emeka
“Every one should ignore such ungodly move by Paul Emeka and Yakubu Pam to cause confusion” the Statement Concluded
