*Promises loans to shop owners.
The Governor of Abia State Dr. Okezie Victor Ikpeazu at the Government House in Umuahia today, donated cars to ease movement of people and shop owners to and fro Ubani and Relief markets.
He revealed State Government’s plans to dualize Ubani Market road in order to reduce traffic on the road and make it easier for customers and shop owners to do business.
He promised to give attention to the markets through soft interest-free loans.
In his words, “We can encourage the markets through small loan scheme which will be interest free so as to make the markets more functional”
He ensured that assessment for the loan will be completed in the next 2 months.
On behalf of the markets, Elder Steve Uzoegbu thanked the Governor for the kind gesture and promised to make good use of the vehicles. In what he described as unimaginable, he said that shop owners will continue to support the administration of Governor Ikpeazu.
