Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has said those fighting him for endorsing his Chief of Staff and son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, as his successor in 2019 do not have any investment in the state.

He also said the tenure of  the state Chairman of the party, Dr Hilary Ekeh and his executive has ended as no congress took  place in the state.

Okorocha made the remarks yesterday, at the Government House  during an interactive session with newsmen.
He said: “Where are the investments of Senators Ifeanyi Araraume,  Hope Uzodinma and Osita Izunaso in the state? But, I have relocated the headquarters of Rochas Foundation from Abuja to Owerri, the Rochas Foundation College of Africa is in Owerri and the Rochas Foundation College is also in Owerri.

“My wife has built an estate here in Owerri and she has also established a furniture manufacturing company here, in Owerri; my daughter owns the House of Fredda here, in Owerri, and the most maligned Uche Nwosu  owns a hotel and a farm here, in Owerri. Now, ask those fighting me to show you their investments in the state.”

Governor Okorocha said “the likes of Senator Uzodinma do not have an address in the state and all they want is to share the resources of the state amongst themselves .”
The governor insisted that  no congress took place in the state and alleged that what Senator Ifeanyi Araraume and company did was to write names with the collaboration of Chief John Oyegun, who he said was bitter because he had voted against tenure elongation.

“No congress took place in the state; what happened was that the so called coalition connived with the out going National Chairman of the party, Chief John Oyegun, to write names, which they submitted even against court injunction. We don’t have any state excos  because the tenure of Ekeh and his members have long expired. The problem Chief Oyegun has with me is simply because I did not support his tenure elongation.”

“But, I can assure you that we have no problem in All Progressive Congress (APC) and as soon Adams Oshiomhole takes over as the new national chairman, the party will be strengthened.”
