As the race for who picks the Governorship ticket of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State gets hotter, the Minister of Transportation and sole Leader of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi has rejected moves by the Director General of NIMASA Dr Dakuku Peterside to Resign and pursue his Political Ambition.

A Close Source to the 2015 Governorship Candidate of the APC in Rivers State Dr Dakuku Peterside who spoke to our Correspondent on condition of anonymity said the Nimasa Boss had tendered his resignation letter but the Minister of Transportation refused to sign the Letter.

Strong indications have emerged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) may be heading for yet another division and imminent collapse following a new development that did not go down well with some of the stakeholders.

There was indication  that the Minister for Transportation and the leader of the Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has directed his longtime friend and a business mogul, Chief Tonye Cole, to prepare to run for Rivers governorship come 2019 under the All Progressive Congress Platform.

This, it was gathered, did not go down well with those loyal to the NIMASA Boss, Dr. Dakuku Adol Peterside, who felt disappointed after obeying and hoping that their boss would be anointed for the exalted position.

According to the Timetable released by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) party primaries for the Presidential, Governorship, Federal and State Elections would begin on August 18 to end on October 7, 2018.
