INEC Begins Distribution Of PVCs to Bende Local Government Electorates

The state Resident commissioner of the Independent National Electoral commission ( INEC) Dr Joseph Ilo has flagged off the distribution of permanent voters cards to the people of Bende local government Area, with a call on those that registered in 2017 to go and collect their PVC in the INEC office at Bende.

Flagging off the PVC distribution at Alayi Court in Ezi-Alayi, the Resident Electoral commissioner who was represented at the occasion by the Head of Department for Election Monitoring programme Mr Achibie G.C. said those that registered in 2017 will collect their permanent voters cards, while those who are yet to register will equally register, and assured that all eligible voters will receive their permanent voters cards before 2019 general election. He thanked the Executive chiarman of Bende local government Area chief sir Gabriel Okereke Elendu for effective mobilization of his people for the exercise.

Earlier in his address, the Executive chiarman of Bende local government Area, Chief sir Gabriel Okereke Elendu KSJI said the exercise is not for any political party, rather for the good of Alayi community, the local government, the state and the country atlarge, and called on eligible voters to ensure that they register and obtain their permanent voters cards to enable them cast their votes in next year general election.

The traditional ruler of Isaku Alayi Eze Uche Elekwa, the President General of Alayi community Commandant Chris Okoronkwo (Rtd) extolled the INEC and chief sir Gabriel Okereke Elendu for ensuring that Bende people registered and obtain their permanent voters cards, and promised that they will continue to comply with the directive of the government.
