South East Governor’s Forum Rejects Cattle Ranch

As the South Eastern Governor’s Forum met yesterday, so many issues were addressed.

After the meeting a communique was read out by the chairman of the forum by The Executive Governor of Ebonyi State Engr Dave Umahi, who told the journalists that the forum condemned the Plateau killings which saw the death of many people and used the opportunity to commiserate with the Governor of Plateau state, as the forum used the opportunity to reply the federal government on the issue of giving out some parts of the region for cattle ranching as the Governors told the federal government plain that the south eastern parts of the country is not enough to give out for cattle ranching.

The forum also talked about the South East Traditional Rulers issues and resolved that the chairman of the forum Eze Eberechi Dick should hand over to Eze Achebe of Anambra state after completing his 2 years tenure, finally the forum congratulated the Governor of Enugu state Rt Hon Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi on his recent victory at the Supreme Court as their plead with politicians from the region to always accept defeat and not to be distracting those elected.
