Eleka delivers polling unit as PDP leads in Ikere LG

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Prof Olusola Eleka like his opponent in the APC, Dr Kayode Fayemi has delivered his polling booth at Oke ruku ward 2 unit 7 in his Ikere-Ekiti home town where he voted.

At his unit PDP scored 270 while APC scored 81 also at the palace of the monarch of Ikere, the Ogoga of Ikere, PDP, Ogoga/Atiba unit, PD{P scored 382 while APC scored 118.

Also at Abula unit also in Ikere, PDP scored 33, while APC scored 102.

As at the time of filling this report, the people of the state who trooped out in large numbers as early as 6.30 am were still waiting for the result in pulling units while some who had concluded work had released the result as they move the materials to INEC office.

When DailyTtrust visited the candidate of the Accord party, Funsho Aluko in his home also in Ikere on Saturday, he was not available to speak with journalists but his wife pastor Mrs Aduke Aluko expressed sadness saying the two major parties wooed the people with money.

She said the people will realise it later the effect of what they have done.

She however appealed to the party that loses to accept the result in good faith.
