Distinguished Senator Ifeanyi Godwin Araraume, has congratulated Dr Kayode Fayemi on his victory in the governorship election of Ekiti State. Senator Araraume, the Federal Commissioner representing the South East in the National Communications Commission, NCC, lauded the irrepressible spirit of Dr Fayemi in contesting for the position he was cheated out of a few years ago. Senator Araraume applauded the people of Ekiti for rejecting the politics of stomach infrastructure, godfatherism in electing their governor.

He said Ekiti people have shown that they believe in having a technocrat as governor who will not be answerable to anyone but them. The senator further noted that Ekiti people voted for a credible candidate who will give them democracy dividends, a governor who is not tied to the apron strings of anyone. He called on the people of Imo state to similarly reject puppets and led-aspirants who do not have a mind of their own.

The two term senator called on the Governor-elect to embrace the entire people of Ekiti state and see them as one irrespective of their political affiliation and spread development in equal proportions across the state. He lauded President Buhari for ensuring a level playing field for all parties.  He equally commended the security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission for their non-partisanship posture and transparency in the conduct of the election. He also congratulated the national chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, for his first major victory and hopes that this will spur the party towards securing a landslide victory for President Buhari and all candidates of the party in the 2019 general elections.
