Senate President, Bukola Saraki personally drove into the Hallow Chambers of the National Assembly after escaping arrest from the combined team of the DSS and the Police early this morning.
AljazirahNigeria investigation gathered that the Senate President who slept at a close friend’s residence at a low housing estate adjacent to the National Assembly, beat the awaiting security agencies to the game, as he drove personally into the red chambers to preside over the day sitting.

His Deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, was however not lucky as his residence was under siege by the DSS at his Apo residence, Abuja
While the number 3 official in President Muhammadu Buhari’s control APC government is being haunted by the police over the Offa robbery incidence where thirty persons were gunned down, his deputy, Senator Ekweremadu [PDP Enugu] is facing EFCC alleged case of conspiracy, abuse of office and money laundering.
We gathered from the Senate that part of the plot was to effect the impeachment of Saraki in his absence while the sacked Senate Minority Leader, Senator Ali Ndume takes over from Dr Saraki.
Dr Saraki who got hints of the plot lushly drove to the waiting chambers where he quickly read the letter announcing the defection of 15 senators from his APC into the PDP.
The move we gathered is to put him in a comfortable lead at the Senate and further consolidate on power.
18 lawmakers led by the Senator Abdullahi Adamu [APC Nasarawa] and Senator Ovie Omo Agege [APC Delta} who already were mobilizing for Saraki’s likely impeachment were also caught in the nibs as Saraki”s eventual appearance at the chambers and presiding rubbished their efforts..

THE 15 APC SENATORS RETURN BACK TO PDP
15 ranking senators this morning defected the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC back to the opposition People Democratic Party, PDP.
They are Senators: Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso [Kano], Barnabas Gemade [Benue], Shaaba Lafiagi, Rabiu Ibrahim {Kwara}, Suleiman Nafiz, Hamman Misau {Bauchi}, Dino Melaye [Kogi], Usman Nafada [Gombe], Ubale Shittu [Jigawa], Musirat Shumunu [Oyo], Suleiman Hunkunyi [Kaduna], Ibrahim Danbatta [Sokoto], Abdurazeez Nyako {Adamawa]
AljazirahNigeria gathered that their defection might be a grand design to usher in the Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki back into the PDP family.
Already, Saraki”s Chief of Staff, Dr Hakeem Baba Ahmed, from Kaduna, has last week defected into the PDP preparatory to the eventual movement of his boss.
