Sir Collyns Ajirikenemeowa Ndamzi Owhonda, a 2015 federal house of representative candidate under APC and also an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain from Phalga Federal Constituency 2, ward 5 in Port Harcourt Local Government Area of Rivers State has reacted to the recently defected APC members to Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on 24th and 25th July,2018, says though no one will be happy that his brothers/friends are leaving to another platform but it’s also for the betterment and the interest of the party that they leave instead of causing confusion to the party.

Hon Collyns Owhonda, who’s yet to declare his intention for Federal House of Representative or Rivers State gubernatorial is believed to still be in consultations with some APC chieftain and stakeholders in the State and at the national level.

He told newsmen(Online Media Practitioners) while having a chat with him at his office in Eagle Island that those who decamped to the opposition party left the ruling party because they have lost relevance in the party and also in their constituency.

He also stated that their defections to the opposition party will not be felt as they have already fallen out with their state Governors and some other APC chieftains in their various states and constituents, hence, very impossible for them to win any election in the forth coming election.

He further said that their defections will not stop President Buhari from returning as the president come 2019 nor have impact in the presidential election.

He pointed out that even with Kwankwanso defecting to PDP, President Buhari will still win in his state (Kano) and in other major states in the country as he has done very well in the area of security, fighting of corruption and infrastructure.

He says the party is coming to take over Rivers State come 2019 to normalise all the abnormalities PDP is causing.
