The leadership of the Abia State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party Yesterday met with aspirants who intend to fly the flag of the party in the 2019 elections.
The Meeting which Held at the Party Secretariat, Umuahia, provided an opportunity for the party leadership in the state to interact with aspirants and give them all necessary information concerning the elections, especially guidelines and time table for the conduct of the primaries of the party.
State PDP Chairman, Chief Johnson Onuigbo made it clear to all aspirants that the party SHALL SUBJECT ALL ASPIRANTS TO FREE, FAIR, CREDIBLE AND VERIFIABLE PRIMARIES.
He restated the position of the party leadership at all levels that the days of IMPOSITION AND IMPUNITY are gone and advised any aspirant who doesn’t wish to be subjected to primaries to kindly opt out of the race.
Aspirants for the Senate, House of Representatives, House of Assembly positions including Serving Lawmakers from across the state attended the meeting.
