Majority of the members of the Abia State EXCO of Ohanaeze Ndigbo have
dissociated themselves from the recent solidarity visit to an APC
Gubernatorial Aspirant in Abia state Dr Sampson Uche Ogah by the state
President of the group and few gullible EXCO members .
The First Vice President of the group in Abia state Comrade Ayo Nnamdi
Onwunle noted that the visit was neither discussed nor agreed upon at
any meeting of the state EXCO of the body and the said President only
went there with very few of his acolytes . Even the few that went
there were not told where they were going until they reached Uche
Ogah’s house , according to Mr Onwunle.
He accused Mr Ajuzieogu of incompetence, corruption and cluelessness.
A committee according to him has been set up to investigate the
corrupt activities of Mr Ajuzieogu which borders on the nine million
naira the Abia state Government gave the group during its
inauguration, the more than three million naira local governments in
the state brought for same programme, monies for Private citizens which he collected secretly and the five million naira Abia State Government gave the group for the 2017 Igbo Day which did not hold
after all.
Several EXCO members of the group have been itching for war including
the Youth and women wings whom the said Ajuzieogu was said to have
completely sidelined.
Mr Onwunle noted that Ohanaeze Ndigbo is not a political party and
does not endorse Aspirants but only support any political leaders that
delivers the dividends of democracy to the people as Dr Okezie Ikpeazu
is doing in Abia state. He pleaded with the the Abia state Governor who has been supporting the group immensely not to abandon the group because of the terrible betrayal of the group by the said Mr Ajuzieogu and assured him that the errant Man would face the music according the
constitution of Ohanaeze Ndigbo.
Meanwhile several Abia groups have condemned the solidarity visit to
Dr Uche Ogah by the President of Abia state chapter of Ohanaeze
Elder Justus Ajuzieogu noting that its against the objective of the
Apex Igbo body. They accused Mr Ajuzieogu who is incidentally a Special Adviser to Dr Okezie Ikpeazu of gross betrayal and called for his immediate removal from that office .
Among the Abia groups included
Abia Mothers Union, Ndinwe Abia Congress, Abia Youth Consultative
Forum. Umuada Abia , National Association of Abia Students, Abia Royal
Fathers .
Meanwhile The Local Government Chairmen of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Abia
state have expressed their shock over the visit and endorsment of Dr
Uche Ogah by the Abia state President Elder Justus Ajuzieogu when none
of such was discussed with them any where. They have therefore passed
a vote of no confidence on him and will soon meet to decide his fate
with the Abia state EXCO.
