It was a wild jubilation at Aba Town Hall, Aba South LGA, Abia State as Rt Hon Uzo Azubuike defeated Hon Blessing Nwagba in a keenly contested primary election. The seasoned legislator polled 178 votes to defeat his opponent Dr Blessing Nwagba who scored 94 from the delegates.
Announcing the result, Electoral Committee Chairman Bar Omenihu Nwogu expressed gratitude to all stakeholders who contributed in various ways to the success of the electoral process. He also thanked the aspirants for conducting themselves.
The total number of delegates that took part in the process were 280 while 272 delegates participated in the process.
