The Movement for the Actualisation of A Sovereign State Of Biafra (MASSOB) under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu said its attention have been drawn to statements by Chief Ralph Uwazurike, the leader of Biafra Independent Movement (BIM) where he is insisting that Mrs Bianca Ojukwu should be given the Senatorial ticket of Anambra South Senatorial District on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
In a Statement Signed on Monday by Comarade Edeson Samuel (National Director of Information) MASSOB and made available to PUO REPORTS,Massob said Uwazurike’s necessitated their Response
”Much as we would not want to join issues with Uwazurike on the statement, in view of his inglorious past it has become imperative that certain pictures are made know for the purposes of clarity and full disclosure”.
”That Bianca Ojukwu disobeyed the instructions of her husband, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Eze Igbo Gburugburu) that she should not contest for any election what so ever.
”Bianca’s unbridled quest for political office led her into going for elective position in total disregard to the directives of her husband, the greatest Biafra leader”.
”That Bianca who is aware of the contenders to the said ticket suddenly declared her interest in the position for very selfish and pecuniary reasons”
”At the end she lost the ticket which is indeed a vindication on the part of late Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Ezeigbo Gburu Gburu) and our ancestors”.
”Uwazurike should be mindful of the fact that his position on the matter is a slap on the personality of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Eze Igbo Gburugburu) and on the integrity of Ndigbo that he claims to stand for”.
”That Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu had contested for election under the platform of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) and lost and and contested for the Presidency of Nigeria and lost without any crisis on its trail”.
”His son, Hon. Emeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Jr also ran for an election and lost and heavens did not fall”.
Massob Said Uwazurike failed to speak on the manner APGA state and National Assembly aspirants of the party such as Godson Ezenagu, Deputy Speaker Hafford Oseke, Ikem Uzoezie, Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, Uche Onyeaguocha and other governorship aspirants from his home state, Imo state and other states totalling twenty three of them were shortchanged in place of mediocrity but choose to speak only for Bianca Ojukwu for reasons best known to himself.
”The result of the rip off on APGA aspirants has led to the creation of disaffections in APGA hence factionalizing the party”.
”It’s important to note that at this stage of the exercise the deadline for the submission of the list of candidates expired on the 7th of October 2018 hence Uwazurikes postulations goes to issue that is against the Nigeria electoral acts which leads one to wonder if he is informed about the development or if there is some other agenda at play for which he wishes to place the lives and safety of Igbo youths and his BIM members at risk”.
”MASSOB under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu hereby dissociates ourself from the shameless outbursts of Uwazurike and his ill advised 7 day ultimatum as it is a display of a man desperate to remain relevant at every slightest opportunity even when he knows that he has lost the respect and reverence that he had in the past”.
