Be committed during 2019 Elections – Okorocha urges Corps Members

The Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rocha’s Okorocha has urged the Corps Members to live above board during the forthcoming 2019 general elections in the country.

Okorocha made the statement through his representative, Hon. Ifeanyichukwu Onwueyiagba, the Chairman NYSC state governing board when he presided over the official opening of the orientation course for the 2018 Batch C Stream I Corps Members deployed to the state recently.

The Governor during the occasion equally charged the Corps Members to use the opportunity provided by the orientation course to make new friends, relate freely with other Corps Members from other geo – political zones of the nation. The NYSC scheme, he maintained has indeed recorded numerous achievements in its quest for national integration, growth and development.

Earlier in an introductory address, the coordinator, NYSC Imo state, Mr. Sunday Robert Aroni, advised the Corps Members to obey all camp rules and make painstaking effort to meaningfully participate in all designated camp activities in the orientation camp.

Similarly, the Chairman, NYSC Imo state governing board who was represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Talent and Youth development, Dr. Pat Ekennia pledged the readiness of the corps employers and the good people of the state to accept as well as warmly receive the corps members when they begin their primary assignment.
