A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt had strike out suit seeking to stop Rivers Local Government Election.
Suit No. FHC/PH/CS/13/2018 filed by the APC against INEC, RSIEC, HAG Rivers State, RSHA, DSS and IGP at the Federal High Court, Port Harcourt seeking to stop conduct of the Rivers State Local Government Council elections held on 14/06/2018 has been struck out by the Federal High Court PH presided over by Obile, J. for want of diligent prosecution by the plaintiff.
The striking out was sequel to an application made by the HAG and other counsel in the matter urging the Honourable Court to dismiss the suit for lack of diligent prosecution by APC.
