Bashir Ahmad, Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on new media said he regretted reading former president Goodluck Jonathan’s new book, “My Transition Hours” describing the book as full of hate speech.

Ahmad, who is also the Coordinator of the Buhari Centre said this on his official twitter handle. He added that he expected Jonathan as a former president to strengthen Nigeria’s unity but was disappointment after reading some pages of the book.

He further accused Jonathan of having insulted a particular part of the country in the book. “The author “entirely” insulted a particular part of the country, forgetting that millions from that part supported and voted for him. Many are still standing with him”.

He wrote: I regretted reading some pages of the book, as a former President, we only expected him to write something that will strengthen our unity, but in that book, H.E Goodluck Jonathan wrote otherwise. The book is full of hate speech.

In another tweet, he wrote: Was reading that newly released book last night before I slept, the book is full of hate speech. The author “entirely” insulted a particular part of this country, forgetting that millions from that part supported and voted for him. Many are still standing with him. Too bad!

I am glancing through the book, “My Transition Hours” by former President @GEJonathan.I am sorry to say that it is an ill-advised book.He takes no responsibility for the failures of his admin.

He lied about things that were known to Nigerians & the international community .
