Court Dismisses Paul Emeka’s Suit Seeking to Take Over Assemblies Of God Secretariat

The federal high court sitting at Enugu today 4th December 2018 dismissed two suits filed by a Former General Superintendent Of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Paul Emeka and his surrogates subtly seeking to take over the National Headquarters of Assemblies Of God Nigeria in Enugu.

Emeka had in suit no Fhc/en/183/2017 and Fhc/en/5/2018 prayed the Court to grant him access to the Headquarters of the Church.

Emeka also prayed the Court to declare the action of the Police in March 2017 as null and void for opening the National Secretariat of Assemblies Of God Nigeria for the Leadership of the Church led by Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor as General Superintendent in obedience to the Supreme Court Judgement.

The Judge ruled that the Nigerian Police in the Discharge of their duty is empowered by Section 4 of the Police Act to Detain and Investigate a Crime.

The Suits were Subsequently Dismissed for lack of Merit.
