The Senator representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly, Shehu Sani, has praised President Muhammadu Buhari for admitting that the country’s economy is bad.
Shehu Sani noted that it was a rare thing for a President to make such admission few weeks to the general elections.
President Buhari, while challenging state governors to redouble efforts in addressing infrastructure deficiencies in their respective states, yesterday, noted that the nation’s economy was bad.
Buhari said this at a closed-door with the 36 State Governors of the federation in Abuja.
Senator Sani tweeted on Saturday, that “President Buhari admitting that the economy he manages is in bad shape is an act of honesty and courage to tell the truth. Many will lie for votes.
“I don’t know of any President in history or anywhere around the world who will make this kind of statement two months to general elections.”
