…Over 6000 Students Begin Collection Of Allowances Today.
Payment of bursary allowances to students of Benue State origin will commence today, being the 17th day of December, 2018. This was disclosed a couple of days back by the scholarship Board Chairman Dr. Joseph Nyam while addressing the press at the Scholarship Board beside Aper Aku Township Stadium Makurdi.
According to the Board Chairman, the Board which was hirthato abandoned by the successive administration is now revived by His Excellency GOVERNOR Samuel Ortom by providing enough funds for functionality of the Board activities.
Dr. Joe Nyam also acknowledged government approval of 100% increase of the scholarship allowances which is already factored into the ongoing process. With this development, students whose scholarship allowances was N5000 will now smile home with N10,000. He also said that the N200,000 payment of Law students is on going and will soon be completed.
Over six thousand students are successfully screened and payment will commence tomorrow. Below is the details figures of the beneficiaries.
