The Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District at the National Assembly, Senator Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa has commissioned the Umuanwu, Uturu water borehole.
Commissioning the project, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa stated that he constructed the borehole to ease the hardship that the people of Umuanwu are facing in search of good water and also in fulfilment of his campaign promises to the people and to God Almighty. Senator Mao also used opportunity to thank the people of Uturu for all the support they have been giving him, the Governor of Abia State and the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) he admonished them to always Support PDP for more dividends of Democracy.
Earlier speaking at his palace, the Traditional ruler of the community, HRH. Eze Cletus Ogbonnaya eulogized the Developmental spirit of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa in developing Abia North, Eze Ogbonnaya described Senator Mao Ohuabunwa as a good friend of Uturu who has the interest of his people at heart and promised not only to work hard for his re-election but to contribute financially to make sure that Senator Mao Ohuabunwa is returned back to the red Chambers to continue his good works, Eze Cletus said that Senate is for intellectuals and not a place for fraaudsters.
Highlight of the event was the endorsement of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa and Hon. Jude Udeachara by the entire people of Umuanwu Uturu Community as their sole candidate for Senate and House of Representatives respectively.
The event witnessed the presence of the PDP House of Representatives Candidate for Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Jude Udeachara, Honourable commissioner for SMEs, Barr. Gabriel Igboko, the State Assistant Secretary of PDP in Abia State, Chief J. J. Okoro, Barr. Mrs. Loveth Oforegbu, The Follow Better Organization coordinator for Isuikwuato LGA, Hon. Orunta Amadi Obi, Mr. Uche Akaeme, Mr. Amobi Nwosu, Mr. Chinemerem Damian, members of PDP in Isuikwuato LGA and Follow Better Organization and other notable Dignitaries.
