It was a moment of joy and Jubilation for the people of Elugumba Ozuitem in Bende LGA as they saw light for the first time in 5 years when the good Senator representing the vast majority interest of Abia North, Senator Dr. Mao Ohuabunwa commissiond their rural electrification/installation of a 300 KVA TRANSFORMER.
Speaking during the historic event at Elugumba Ozuitem, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa said that he commission the project in other to electrify the community and to fulfill his campaign promises.
Senator Mao used the Medium to thank the people of Ozuitem for their support towards the peoples Democratic party and admonished them not to be deceived by fraaudsters and contractors who are been patronized by their political party led Federal Government. Senator Mao Ohuabunwa charged the people of Ozuitem to ask the former Governor of Abia State and the Senatorial candidate of APC for Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu and his company Slock why they choosed not to reconstruct the Uzuakoli- Ozuitem road which he Senator Mao Ohuabunwa as a member of the Senate Committee on appropriation and NDDC attracted but rather he chose to divert the Project just for his own selfish interest and hatred for the people of Ozuitem.
Also speaking, the Secretary to the state government (SSG) Dr. Eme Okoro described Senator Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa as not only a good friend of Ozuitem but a son of OzuItem who have the interest of Ozuitem at heart, Dr. Okoro thanked Senator Mao for restoring power back to the people of Ozuitem and charged them to choose between Light who is Senator Mao who has brought dividends of Democracy to them and fraaudsters who diverted what belongs to them for selfish interest.
In their votes of thanks, Hon. Uche Kalu and Mrs. Ngozi Okoronkwo thanked Senator Mao Ohuabunwa for giving them light and promised to work hard for his re-election.
On her own, Mrs. Ngozi Okoronkwo described Senator Mao as a jinx breaker who has brought joy and hope for the people of her Community, she said they have been on blackout since last 5 years but Senator Mao has given them reason to remain in PDP and vote for all the candidates of the PDP.
Senator Mao later paid a visit to HRH. Eze E. I. Uche the Ebem Ogugu 11 of Ihuozu, Ozuitem where he received blessings from the royal father.
Highlight of the event was EEDC bringing light to the community as Senator Mao was commissioning the project which made the people to donate a lot of presence to the Distinguished Senator as a way of showing Appreciation.
The event witnessed the presence of the immediate past Executive Chairman of Bende LGA, Chief Sir Gabriel Okereke Elendu, Honourable commissioner for SMEs, Barr. Gabriel Igboko, the state Assistant Secretary of PDP in Abia State, Chief J. J. Okoro, The Director General of Follow Better Organization, Dr. N. C. Eke, president general of Elugumba Ozuitem and other notable Dignitaries.
