The second term Senatorial aspiration of the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District at the National, Senator Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa has received a huge and a royal boost as the entire council of traditional Rulers of Arochukwu LGA has thrown their royal weight behind him.
The royal fathers made their position known at the palace of the Chairman of Arochukwu LGA council of traditional rulers, HRM. Eze Linus N. Mba.
Speaking, Eze Ogbuka Origa of Abam, Eze Solomon Okorie of Ututu, Eze Okereke Otusi of Ihechiowa and Eze Ibom isi of Arochukwu Kingdom stated that they are not endorsing senator Mao Ohuabunwa based on his excellent performance alone rather they are supporting him because he is their illustrious son in whom they are well pleased .
They eulogized the infrastructural and Developmental strides of the Senator that has seen him touched almost all the communities of Arochukwu LGA and Abia North in general.
They promised to mobilize massively for his re-election, Hon. Uko Nkole, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and Prince Eric Aso Kalu because they are all products of Equity and has also performed creditably.
Speaking earlier, Senator Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa said that he came to inform them officially as a mark of respect and honor that he is contesting for the second term come this February 16th and to also officially present prince Eric Aso Kalu to them as the PDP candidate for the Abia State House of Assembly in Arochukwu State Constituency.
Senator Mao Ohuabunwa maintained that PDP still remain the best for the people of Nigeria and Abia State and urged them to vote massively for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar for president, himself and Hon. Uko Nkole for Senate and House of Reps. Respectively, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and Prince Eric Aso Kalu to represent Arochukwu State Constituency because PDP has performed very well.

The Chairman of Arochukwu LGA council of traditional Rulers, HRM. Eze Linus N.Mba (Eze Udo 1) declared that having listened to the testimonies of his fellow Kings on the Achievements of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, the entire people of Arochukwu LGA will support and massively vote for him and
all the candidates of PDP because Arochukwu LGA can not be in the opposition.
Highlights of the event was the royal blessing and prayers for Senator Mao Ohuabunwa by his royal fathers.
Senator Mao Ohuabunwa was accompanied by the Honourable commissioner for SMEs, Barr. Gabriel Igboko, the state Assistant Secretary of PDP Chief J. J. Okoro, the Immediate past Executive Chairman of Arochukwu LGA Chief Kalu James Kalu, Prince Eric Aso Kalu and Mazi Nwabueze Okoro and other notable Dignitaries.
