The Chairman of the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Bro Felix Obuah says Tonye Princewill, Director of Strategic Communications for the campaign organization of the sacked factional governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State, Tonye Princewill has confirmed the plot by the APC to disrupt the elections in the State.
The State PDP boss expressed concern over the recent threat by Tonye Princewill as quoted on page 42 of The Nation Newspaper of Friday, Feb. 8, 2019 that the APC would resort to ‘lawlessness’ during the elections in the State.
According to Bro Obuah, Mr Tonye Princewill’s threat that the elections in Rivers State would be an exercise in ‘futility’ should not be taken lightly by the relevant authorities especially the INEC and security agencies in light of various attacks and killing of innocent Rivers people and perceived opponents of the APC in some sections of the State recently.
“We wish to alert all relevant agencies to Tonye Princewill’s threat and particularly urge the security agencies to investigate him and also hold him (Princewill) responsible for any breach of the law and order during the elections”, Bro Obuah declared.
The State PDP Chairman, Bro Obuah further advised that rather than vent their anger on the peace loving Rivers people by plotting to frustrate their voting right, the APC should learn from their experience of the end result of a self-seeking character and accordingly, use this period to put their house in order for a better tomorrow.
