Mr Chijioke Chukwu,the All Progressive Congress Candidate for Bende North State Constituency few days ago sent thugs to beat up a Stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ugwueke,Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
It was gathered that while the Deputy Speaker Dr Cosmos Ndukwe had on December 28th 2018, during the cause of his usual interactions with youths across umunna tagged *18/22 Tour* at the grassroots, when his atttention was drawn to a particular village accross Amaba Ugwueke the village of candidate of APC Bende North State Aseembly, that hadn’t had electricity for well over Four years.
He had promised them that he would buy a transformer and also go a step further to have it further energized.
PUO Metro gathered that the APC Candidate ordered that Lawrence (aka Signobee) young man who inspired Dr NDUKWE to undertake the project had been beaten to stupor, inflicted with grievous bodily harm his fence pulled down by candidate of ApC and his thugs, for having the ‘audacity’ to bring a member of PDP to help restore electricity.
In his Reaction Dr Cosmos NDUKWE who is also the Candidate of the People Democratic Party for Bende North State Constituency condemned the act by the APC Candidate.
“I am deeply worried that a young man, candidate of the legislature, one who would also benefit from the gesture, could come so low in the name of politics. What if the victim, your disabled kinsman had died?”
“We could do better than vending conscious stupidity. It’s politics not war. It’s fairplay not rough play. If I were a violent person, perhaps we would have been faced with a very dangerous reprisal attack. Who loses? Humanity!” He Said.
