Women Protest,Call for Free,Fair and Credible Elections in Abia

Abia women for good governance made the call through their leader, Mrs Stella Nwaohammuo during a peaceful protest in umuahia following the alledged report of prepared results when the election have not held and postponement of the presidential and national assembly elections on Saturday February 16th 2019.

Mrs Nwaohammuo and lady Florence Ikpegbu told INEC and all relevant stakeholders to ensure that people’s vote count in Abia state and encouraged electorates to come out and vote on Saturday this week.

According to the women, they are not for any party and cautioned all men and youth to stop the snatching of election materials.
Mrs Stella Nwaohamuo and Stella Ikpegbu stated that writing of election should stop to enable people have peace.

Our correspondent reports that the women who dressed on black and black attire matched to INEC headquarters in umuahia and other places had placards with inscriptions “INEC please sit up, do not sell our votes, we say no to rigging of election, we need good and quality governance, let our votes count among others “.
