The Court of Appeal Portharcourt Division has struck out an appeal brought before it by candidates of the APC in Rivers State.
The Court of Appeal also struck out an appeal brought before it by Mr. Tonye Cole, the sacked Governorship Candidate of the Factional Rivers APC.
Justice I. O Akeju while delivering his ruling said the appeals has no locus in view of the Supreme Court ruling on the said matter.
The Judge also described the appeals brought before the Court of Appeal as unnecessary and a mere academic exercise.
The Judge further said APC candidates, Mr. Tonye Cole and others are not eligible to participate in the forthcoming Governorship and State Assembly elections.
