Ikpeazu Meets Abia Civil Servants, Assures On No Retrenchment

-As Governor Ikpeazu Receives Car Gift from the Abia Workers-

The Governor of Abia State Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu on Wednesday met with Workers with the Abia State Civil Servants and assures then of better days ahead with no plan to retrench any worker.

The Meeting which was called by the Head of Service of Abia State Sir Onyii Wammah, had in attendance all the Permanent Secretaries, Directors of the Ministries in Abia State and staff in the state MDAs.

The Deputy Governor of Abia State Rt Hob Udo Oko Chukwu, former Deputy Governor, Chief Acho Nwakanma and Commissioners were also in attendance.

In his Opening Remark,the Head of Service Sir Onyii Wammah said its a New Beginning for the Civil Servants in Abia State Unser the watch of Governor Ikpeazu.

” I called you together today to see your fine Faces and to let you know that the Governor is with Us”

“As we were coming here, alert Started coming In for February 2019 while some ministries received 2 months.

The Head of Service assured the Governor that the Civil Servants in Abia State will Continue to work with them while assuring that 2018 leave allowances will be received before the end of Friday..

The Civil Servants Presented a Car Gift in Appreciation of his Good Work in Abia State and urged him to go out and win 2019 election for them and all Abians.

The Deputy Governor of Abia state Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu in his Speech Appreciated the Civil Servants in Abia State for standing with the Abia State Government under Governor Okezie Ikpeazu unlike what is obtainable in some States where the Executive and the Workers are on collision Course.

“If Civil Servants are with you, you don’t have anything to worry about” He Said.

Speaking during the meeting,Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu said the Abia Civil Service is the engine room of Government.

“I must Confess that I was overwhelmed when I came in and saw the happy faces of Abia Workers”

“I must Appreciate the Abia Workers because the Civil Service is the engine Room of my Government”

” I have seen things that bother you,and I want to assure you that all these will be taking care of in the Days Ahead”

The Governor Directed the Authorities Concerned to immediately begin the Process for the 2018 Promotion of the Civil Servants and Promised better Days for Abia Workers.

Rev Engr Cletus Mbah who spoke on behalf of the Abia Workers assured Governor Ikpeazu that the Civil Servants in the State will massively Vote for him come Saturday March 9 2019.
