The National Assembly,Governorship and State House of Assembly elections in Rivers State may have come and gone, but the All Progressive Congress(APC) may have to live with the damage caused by some compromised Leaders of its Party in Rivers State.

An Investigative oversight by PUO REPORTS has revealed how some of the high profile Chieftains of the All Progressive Congress(APC) secretly worked for the 2019 Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party and Governor of Rivers State Barr Nyesom Wike.

One of such men is a Former  Lawmaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly who Represented Emohua State Constituency,Former Majority Leader and the Director of Tonye/Giadom(botched) 2019 Governorship Campaign Organisation Dr Chidi Lloyd.

According to some Recorded audio Conversation between Dr Chidi Lloyd and Governor Nyesom Wike, the former Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly pleaded with the Rivers State Governor to drop the attempted murder charges against him for maximum corporation.

PUO REPORTS Recalled that  a Rivers state High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has issued a bench warrant on the former leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Chidi Lloyd.

The trial judge, Justice Chiwendu Nworgu had given the order following Chidi Lloyd’s absence in court to take his plea on two count charges of murder and disruption of public peace against him.

Chidi Lloyd is facing charges of attempted murder after using the Assembly mace to hit a fellow lawmaker, Michael Chindah during a free for all at the Rivers State House of Assembly complex in 2013.

The embattled Former Majority Leader was arraigned on CHARGE NO: PH/692CR/2018 – THE STATE V. CHIDI LLYOD and .CHARGE NO: PH/693 CR/2018 – THE STATE V. CHIDI LLYOD.

It was gathered that anytime the Rivers State Governor seeks the arraignment of Dr Lloyd, the Former Rivers Lawmaker runs to the Minister of Transportation Rt Hon Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for more Security Cover and sympathy.

PUO REPORTS Exclusively gathered that Dr Chidi Lloyd single handedly brought the 2019 Governorship Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC),  Biokpomabo Awara for adoption by the Minister of Transportation RT Hon Chibuike Amaechi and the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State at Large.

Lloyd it was gathered brought the ideal of Awara’s adoption following the failure of the 2019 Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in Rivers State Mr Tonye Cole to come up with a Governorship candidate that will be adopted by the Leadership of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers State. Chidi Lloyd had threatened at one of Amaechi’s Leadership meeting with the Leaders of APC in Portharcourt  to pitch tent with Governor Nyesom Wike if his choice Candidate Mr Awara of the AAC was not adopted by Amaechi.

Lloyd, although seen as one of the closest allies of the Transportation Minister had been on a closed communication with Governor Nyesom Wike including visiting the Governor at the Government House Portharcourt at midnights.

Governor Nyesom Wike’s Statement shortly after the Supreme Court ruling on Thursday 11th April 2019 confirmed the findings of PUO REPORTS when Governor Nyesom Wike announced that he has directed the State Attorney General to review all murder charges and come up with recommendations to him.

Wike said: “I hereby direct the Honourable Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to review all pending criminal proceedings filed against any person by the state and directly related to political activities prior to the 2019 general elections and make appropriate recommendations to me for necessary action to promote reconciliation among us.”

This Platform gathered that the Governor in few weeks from now will announce the dropping of all charges against the Former Majority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly Dr Chidi Lloyd for playing his own game of the deal.
