Born into the family of Michael and Ngozi Solomon of Umuagwa Village, Ogbor Ancient Kingdom (Ogbor 1 Ward 10) in Aba North LGA, Abia State, Enyinnaya Solomon attended Nigeria Christian Nursery School Aba. He later went to Ogbor Hill Primary School in Aba, Abia State and Federal Government College Ikot-Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State for his primary and secondary education respectively. That was after spending a brief period at the famous All Saints Secondary School, Aba while awaiting his admission into the FGC. His quest for formal education further took him to Abia State Polythecnic, Aba where he studied Public Administration and graduated summa- cum-laude. He is currently a Post Graduate Student of Mass Communication at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Unlike most of his contemporaries, Solomon cut his teeth on public service early in life. This has seen through a blossoming career in Media/Broadcasting with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Aba.
In his determination to succeed and make positive impact, Solomon has continued to display a trajectory of skills and knowledge consciously bequeathed on by a galaxy of his erstwhile bosses and distinguished broadcasters most of whom are still in active service. These included Mr. Chris Opara, Mrs. Elizabeth Agbai, Mr. Cliff Ayozie, Mrs. Ngozi Goddy, Mr. Chinedu Obike, Egbuchulam, Mr. Cyril Stober, Mrs. Irene Nwosu, Mr. Maxwell Elemuo. In deed, the list of these distinguished men and women who moulded him is inexhaustible.
His training as a broadcaster took him to the prestigious NTA TV College Jos, Plateau State outside from several other seminars and workshops in Nigeria organised by local and international bodies.
His proficiency in news casting on NTA Aba has endeared him to thousand of viewers in Abia State and its environs.
Apart from being a renowned newscaster, Solomon has also distinguished himself on the airwave of the NTA as a superlative Presenter anchoring the now shelved foremost breakfast, magazine program -AM Express from Enugu Network Center, presenting the South-East contribution.
Solomon also anchored LEADERSHIP RECIPE, a weekly live phone-in programme that reviews the administration/governance of Abia State since the assumption of office by Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D, as Governor of Abia State.
As a Programme Producer, Solomon has many documentary series, features tied to his name. Some of them are The Undying Business Spirit, Unity In Diversity, Oneness In Trade (a case study of Aba) and Widows World (a case study of the obnoxious cultural practices against Widows in Igbo Land).
To many people, Solomon is such an astute broadcaster whose geometric rise has made an on-air celebrity.
All these, however, did not come without a litany of challenges.
Enyinnaya Solomon believes that his contact with the media world has exposed him to the tremendous power of the media in the society; hence the media play an important role in governance and the society as a whole.
He sees the media as being very critical in today’s fast moving world and the voice of the voiceless.
Having been so exposed and garnered so much practical experience that spans for over a decade in Civil Service and Broadcasting, his people beckons on him for quality representation in politics and governance, noting his intellectual resources, technical competence and wherewithal to do a lot more people oriented services. This motivated him to join the race for better representation for Aba Central State Constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly in 2018/2019.
To achieve this, he contested in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Primary Elections in October, 2018, for the State House of Assembly Ticket; but with regards to the decisions of the leadership of the party, as a loyal party man.
Solomon has strong philosophies as “Putting God first”, “Making more friends than enemies”, “All inclusive leadership” and other positive thoughts.
Aside from performing his core duties as a civil servant, Solomon has also served his community in different youth leadership capacities in the past. At the moment, he is still engaged in many leadership positions in his community, church and Alma mater. These included Editor-in-Chief, Aba Ngwa People’s Forum, member United Evangelical Church Ogbor Church Committee and National Treasurer Abia State Polythecnic, Aba Alumni Association.
As a distinguished Master of Ceremony, Solomon has anchored several ceremonies and other Corporate events in and outside Aba.
Enyinnaya Solomon is also a recipient of several commendations and awards including, the 2013/2014 Outstanding Personality award from Public Administration Students Association, Abia State Polythecnic, Aba, 2016 Entertainment Friendly Presenter Award (Television) at the Aba Entertainment Summit, 2018 Award of Honor & Excellence as Outstanding Leader of the Year by the Public Administration Students Association (PASAN) Abia State Polythecnic, Aba etc.
He is strong-willed, energetic and determined.
Solomon is a good Christian and an ordained Deacon of the United Evangelical Church. He is married to his delectable wife, Bridget Ocheze who is a professional nurse and midwife. The union is blessed with three lovely children (a girl and two boys).
He easily associates with people of different class irrespective of culture, religion, tribe and sociopolitical affiliation.
