Abia North Youths Blast INEC over Injustice Against Senator Mao

A group in Abia North known as Abia North Youths for Justice (ANYJ) comprising civil society organizations, profession bodies, religious organizations, students and artisants has vehemently condemned the truncation of justice by the Idependent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in February 23,2019 senatorial election in favour of Dr.Orji Uzor Kalu against Sen.Mao Ohuabunwa
whom they described as an eloquent orator.

In a release signed by the group after their meeting in Ohafia, wondered why Orji Uzor Kalu was declared winner in an election where margin of lead (10,400) is less than the number of cancelled registered voters (38,526) in the zone.
According to the group, what was expected of INEC was to declare the result inconclusive as enshrined in the electoral guidline which they ignored and went ahead with their charade decision, announcing the result in favour of Orji Uzor Kalu of APC against Sen.Mao Ohuabunwa
Speaking further, the Legal Adviser of the group Barrister Prince Okoro Agwu advised the good people of Abia North not to panic as there is no cause for alarm as justice must prevail.

According to him,the inauguration of Orji Uzor is ceremonial, that the epoch comes after the judgement at the ongoing tribunal when Sen.Ohuabunwa reclaims his stolen mandate, then a bigger inauguratin will be conducted in grand style.
We cannot abandone Sen.Mao Ohuabunwa at this trying moment judging from from his achievements within the short period of time he stayed at the red chamber after his long battle with Orji Uzor Kalu in 2015.”

The group blamed PDP stakeholders in Abia North for their involvement in anti-party activity,a situation where party faithful sold out their conscience to the opposition reasons best known to them with clear evidence of a House of Reps member of PDP who was the first person to congratulate Orji Uzor Kalu of APC even before his party members and supporters
The shows an undilute anti-party activity and betrayal.
