The National Assembly election petition tribunal sitting in Umuahia on Monday commenced full hearing on the petition filed by Senator Mao Ohuabunwa of the PDP against INEC challenging the declaration of Chief Orji Uzor Kalu as the Senator of Abia North.
Three witnesses from Senator Mao Ohuabunwa from Arochukwu ward 3 and Ututu ward testified before the Honourable court and their results were accepted by the tribunal.
Council to the first and second respondents tried to object but the tribunal overruled and accepted the testimonies of the witnesses as the lawyers of the first and second respondents could not prove beyond reasonable doubts why the election were cancelled in Arochukwu ward 3.
