Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chinedum Orji MNSE, has condoled with Hon Adiele Ekeke, a Commissioner at the Abia State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ASOPADEC) and a political leader in Ukwa East LGA of the State over the unfortunate death of his wife and two children in a fatal accident along Enugu – Port Harcourt Road on Sunday. In a release by his Chief Press Secretary, Jude Ndukwe, the Speaker described Hon Ekeke as a very close friend whose loss is also a huge personal loss to him, saying that he was deeply shocked and saddened by the incident and prayed that the Almighty God will grant the departed eternal rest.

The Speaker who also prayed God to grant Hon Ekeke the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss said that he is convinced that based on the godly life she lived, Mrs Ekeke and her two children are resting in the bosom of the Lord. “Mrs Ekeke was a woman I knew very well. She lived a godly life and supported not only her husband but also humanity in her own way. She helped her husband to raise their children in a godly way, and supported him in touching the lives of people, hence, I am convinced that her soul and those of their two beautiful children are already resting with the Lord”. Rt Hon Chinedum Orji further urged Hon Adiele Ekeke to “take solace in the Lord who alone knows everything and be strong for the surviving third child who is receiving medical care even as we earnestly pray for his recovery”.
