Ikpeazu Commissions New Digitalized BCA

In his quest to to ensure that the famous Broadcasting Cooperation of Abia State, BCA Umuahia meets up with the international standard, the Governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu today commissioned the New Digitalized Broadcasting Cooperation of Abia State.

According to the Governor, the state own radio and TV station (BCA) has served the people of the state and the entire South Eastern States for decades in the area of promoting businesses as well as relaying the activities of the government to the people.

The Governor who was ably represented by his, Deputy. Rt. Hon Ude Oko Chukwu during the commissioning ceremony held at the BCA premises stated that the need to assist the Broadcasting Station to enable it compete favourably with other recognized radio stations within and outside the country in information distribution.

The Governor commended the new leadership of the radio station led by Sir Anyaso Anyaso for their contribution and efforts towards ensuring the realization of the project.

He assured management and the staff of the station of his administration’s continuous assistance and support in tackling other challenges facing the station.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Director General of BCA, Sir Anyaso Anyaso thanked the Governor of Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu and his Deputy, Rt. Hon. Ude Oko Chukwu as well as the Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu for their efforts and support in the actualization of the new digitalized BCA 88.1fm Umuahia which he described as one of the best in the country.

Sir Anyaso pledged his staff loyalty and commitment towards helping the present administration in achieving its goals through relaying her programmes and activities to the people of the state and beyond.

The commissioning of the new digitalized BCA also featured a live phoning in programme that featured the Deputy Governor of Abia state.

The Executive council of the state and other top government officials were present during the ceremony.
