Prestigious United Kingdom private boarding school, Brooke House College, has entered a partnership with the Abia State government that will see the Leicester based secondary school give full scholarships to two Abia State students within the age range of 15 and17 years old to study in the UK.
Revealing this, the school’s international football consultant and Head of Sports Law (Africa) of Activity Chambers, Johnny Precious Ogbah, who facilitated the partnership, said the scholarship is for students, who have exceptional football talent and are also sound academically.

Ogbah said: “Brooke House College has a long history with Nigeria. Many don’t know this, but they are the school that used to give scholarships to Nigerian players through the Pepsi Football Academy years back and through this they have positively affected the lives of many Nigerian kids.

“Aside the top notch academic level of the school, they also have a very sound football academy, which is led by former England international, Micky Adams, who, after an illustrious playing career spanning spells in teams like Leeds, Fulham, Southampton and Stoke City, went on to manage teams like Leicester City, Fulham, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Coventry City to me,tion but a few.

“I was with Micky in Abia State last week taking a look at the massive talents the state has in order to fish out two worthy of a chance to get top class academic and football training at Brooke House College.

“The College has produced many Nigerian boys who have gone on to play professional football. Habib Makunjuola joined Leicester City FC from Brooke House College. Jesse Sekidika, who just signed for Galatasaray, was trained at Brooke House College too.

“In the last Nigerian team to the U20 World Cup, Success Makanjuola and Emeka Chinonso were Brooke House College students at the time of the World Cup and Success has joined CD Leganes after the World Cup.

“These are the type of players we are looking to get from Abia State and I believe they abound aplenty.”

Ogbah described Brooke House College as a prestigious school in the United Kingdom, adding, “the value of the scholarship they are given out is around £40,000 a year for two years. Aside scholarship options, which are very limited, any parents looking to get their ward the best academic and football training should contact Activity Chambers through info@activitychambers.com.”
