Abia State- born Minister of State, Mines and Steel Development, Dr Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, OON ,FCA, has taken delivery of some materials donated by the Chinese Online entrepreneur and philanthropist, Mr. Jack Ma,who,as part of global efforts aimed at battling the COVID 19 pandemic, had earlier donated materials and equipment to Africa and other parts of the world.
Receiving the materials earmarked for Abia State as part of Nigeria’ s share of the Jack Ma’s philanthropic gestures,Dr.Ogah enjoined the Abia State Government to ensure equitable distribution of the materials and to also ensure that those who have the greatest need of the materials are made to benefit by them.
Represented on the occasion by his Aides, who include, Chijioke Udeogu,Esq. Personal Assistant to the Honourable Minister and Hon. Demian Igbokwe, S.A (Special Duties). Dr. Ogah also used the opportunity to reiterate his determination to always ensure that whatever is due to Abia State at the Federal level must get to Abians.
The donated materials and equipment, which include the below:
*Face Masks;
*Face Shields and
* Overall Protective Gowns were duly handed over to the Abia State Government through the State Government’s Representative in Abuja,Mr Anyaoha Ogbonna Agbere, the Liaison Officer.
