COVID-19: Apostolic Church Appreciates Ikpeazu, Abia Speaker for their Donations to the Church

The leadership of The Apostolic Church in Abia State has appreciated Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for the cash and relief materials he donated to the church last week as a way to cushion the effect of the lockdown order occasioned by the novel Covid 19 pandemic in Nigeria.

In a statement jointly signed by the Umuahia Area Superintendent of the Church, Apostle Eberechukwu Igwe and Ogborhill-Aba Area Superintendent, Apostle Dan (Dr.) Orji on behalf of the Igbo land Territorial Chairman, Apostle (Dr) Peter Ahia, the church saluted the uncommon love shown to her by the State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu. They equally thanked the members of the Abia State Covid 19 Committee for including The Apostolic Church Nigeria as a beneficiary of the palliative materials.

The leaders equally commended the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chinedum Orji for extending similar gesture to two of The Apostolic Churches within his Umuahia Central Constituency. They prayed God to bless the Governor, the Speaker and government of Abia State.

The clergymen used the opportunity to inform the Governor that the materials have been distributed to the targeted audience as directed by him. They also disclosed that the cash and items were shared among the 29 Areas of the church in the State covering both the Igbo Land Territory and Ukwa/Ngwa Field of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, which include; Umuahia, Aba, Eziukwu Aba, Ogborhill, Ikwuano, Umuzomgbo, Ohafia, Abiriba, Arochukwu, Ibere, Bende, Oloko, Umuosi, Ehere, Ubakala, Olokoro, Isuikwuato, Nbawsi, Isalangwa, Owerinta, Amoji, Umuocham, Ariaria, Agburuike, Ukwa among others. They added that the Areas had further taken the items to the various Districts and local Assemblies under them.

The Apostolic Church Nigeria leaders in Abia State reassured the Governor of their continuous support to him and his administration as well as ensuring that the church and her members adhere to the Covid 19 guidlines of government and prayed God to bring the pandemic to an end.
