EEDC Donates Hand Sanitizers To Abia Gov’t

Abia State government has received 60 cartons of 500 ml hand-sanitizers donated to it by the management of Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC).

Receiving the items on behalf of the State Government, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr. Anthony Agbazuere commended the company for the donation, saying it will go a long way in assisting the fight against the spread of Covid-19.

Agbazuere observed that the company has always been partners in progress with Abia State government and described what the company did as a welcome development.

The Chief of Staff called for synergy between the company and other service providers to settle the issue of estimated bills on their customers, insisting that something must be done to ensure that every customer gets metre, whether prepaid or the other existing metre.

He assured that the hand-sanitizers would be handed over to the Abia State Committee on Covid 19 to distribute accordingly.

Earlier, the Head Corporate Communication, EEDC, Mr. Emeka Eze, while presenting the items, said the management came to identify with Abia State government in this period of Covid-19 pandemic with the presentation of the hand-sanitizers to help contain any possible spread of the virus in the State.

He expressed the willingness of the EEDC to provide light to the covid 19 isolation facilities in the State and appreciated the efforts of Abia State Governor in curbing the spread of the pandemic.
