Vulnerable persons in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State have received relief items from Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso’s Foundation.
The items which were distributed to all the twenty Wards in the area include Bags of Rice, Beans, Cartons of Noodles, Tubers of Yam, Cartons of Tomatoes among others.
Addressing the representatives of each Ward, Dr. Anyaso, representated by the Director General of Ahuoma Foundation, Mr. Okey Iboko urged them to ensure that the palliatives gets to those who need it most.
On his part, Bende Local government Deputy chairman, Comrade John Mark thanked Dr. Anyaso for his commitment to the welfare of Bende people.
According to Mark, the outreach truly represents the ideal of true humanitarian gesture to the vulnerable people in Bende as it cut across party lines; “as we can see today, this relief materials distribution from Chima Anyaso Foundation is a continuous effort to ameliorate the hardship necessitated by the Corona Virus pandemic and in true spirit of the good example set by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu who went above party sentiment to distribute palliatives to all Abians, Dr. Anyaso tolled same path here in Bende. We appreciate this complimentary effort of the State government”, Mr. Mark said.
Some recipients of the palliative items thanked Dr. Chima Anayso for his continuous show of love to the people of Bende especially in this trying times and prayed almighty God to bless and enrich him the more.
In Igbere Ward A, fifty (50) families each received food items including Rice, Beans, Noodles, Tubers of Yam and Tomatoes.
